About Microtronix Datacom Ltd.

Microtronix began as a design and embedded engineering firm for custom networking equipment for the Telco marketplace, pioneering the X25 protocol. Today, Microtronix uses these same engineering skills to develop and support their own line of embedded products, specializing in the rapid development of FPGA based hardware, IP cores, printed circuit board and software solutions for embedded products. Microtronix provides a turnkey design-development service, with proven expertise in taking products from initial concept through to production.

Microtronix also provides embedded engineering design services for these technologies either on an hourly basis, or through a fixed price quotation.

By design, all Microtronix solutions are engineered to be cost effective, and exceed their requirements for service, quality and function.

Management Team

Mr. Norman McCall, President

Norman McCall is President and CEO of Microtronix, and a member of the Board of Directors. He joined the company in 1988 as a Senior Design Engineer. His career has progressed through various roles including Project Manager, Quality Manager and R&D Manager. He has an excellent background in software and hardware design engineering, manufacturing of electronics, sales and administration. His leadership and vision has enabled the company to grow into new fields of embedded technology including Telecom Management Systems and advanced IP cores targeted at the needs of high performance video systems.

Mr. McCall has a Bachelors of Engineering Science degree.

Mr. Wayne Assaf, Vice President – Operations

Wayne joined the Company in February 2007 having originally sold the Datacom division to Microtronix in 1985. He is Vice President – Operations, responsible for all of the company's diversified product lines, the domestic and international marketing and the day-to-day operations. Wayne's 25 years in corporate and executive management, as well as his entrepreneurial success, will bring added value in the development of enhancing business partnerships, expanding worldwide distribution and adding new products and solutions for the company's ‘blue chip' customer base.

Wayne received his BA degree from the University of Windsor and his Marketing degree from Clemson University in South Carolina

Key Personnel

Mr. Blair Bryce, Product Manager – International Distribution

Blair Bryce joined Microtronix in August 2006 with an extensive background in marketing, print advertising and business development. He was instrumental in helping to design our business to business distribution channel and our marketing support program for Microtronix authorized resellers worldwide.

Blair's new role is the responsibility for international distribution of the company's Datacom and FPGA product lines. While Microtronix global reach has been growing, Blair's focus will be on broadening that base with strong, experienced regional distribution partners.

Blair is a graduate in Business Administration-Marketing from Fanshawe College.

Mr. Vic Phillips, Senior Software Specialist – Datacom

Mr. Vic Phillips joined Microtronix in 1982 as software engineer and is now one of our key Senior Software Specialists on our datacom products and our IP Telephony and related VoIP products Vic has an extensive background in all aspects of X.25 WAN and TCP data communications. He has experience in both commercial and proprietary Real Time Operating Systems and Linux kernel development. He is the software team leader responsible for the development of our Telcom product solutions, including; Lucent 3a Replacement Translator, AMA Collector Manager, X.25 - TCP/IP Gateway and MWI UniCom SMDI/SIP Router.

Vic has a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from the University of Western Ontario.

Mr. Dennis Scott, Senior Hardware Design Engineer

Mr. Dennis Scott joined Microtronix in 2002 as hardware engineer and is now one of our Senior Hardware Design Engineer on our FPGA products group. Dennis has gained a good background in all aspects of hardware engineering including high-speed PCB design and IP development. He is the hardware team leader responsible for the development of our FPGA product solutions.

Dennis has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Engineering degree from the University of Waterloo Ontario.
