Microtronix Launches new I2C Master/Slave/PIO IP Core

LONDON, Ontario—May 15, 2005—Microtronix® today announced the release of their new I2C (Inter IC Communication) Master/Slave/PIO IP Core.

"This affordable new I2C IP Core offers three modes of operation: I2C Master Controller, I2C Slave Controller and an 8 bit PIO Slave Device" said Philippe Morin, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Microtronix Datacom Ltd. "The IP Core also supports three I2C transmission speeds: Normal: 100Kbps, Fast: 400Kbps, and High Speed: 3.4Mbps"

“The Core is currently undergoing AMPP approvals testing at Altera”. An OpenCore Plus downloadable Evaluation version of the core is available on the company website.
