LONDON, ON—August 12, 2008 - Microtronix® Datacom Ltd., a leading supplier of highly integrated video imaging and intellectual property (IP) development solutions, announced it has partnered with Aldec Inc., Henderson, USA, a pioneer in mixed language verification and advanced debugging tools for FPGA and ASIC devices.

The High Performance Multi-port SDRAM Memory Controller IP Cores from Microtronix is ideally suited for building low latency Avalon multi-master streaming data systems and video applications. Advanced design features enable maximum system clock rates using low speed FPGA's and standard memory devices with fewer memory components, lowering your production cost, and saving you money.

The core allows the system bus architecture to be partitioned and independently clocked to achieve maximum performance. Each port is supported with a data FIFO cache which effectively doubles memory bandwidth on sequential address or cache hits. FIFO depth can be tailored for either streaming or random access. Fast tracking your project and minimizing your engineering design effort. The partnership will ensure that Aldec's Active-HDL and Riviera simulator users can readily download and simulate a very advanced and mature MP SDRAM MC IP Cores.

"Partnering with Aldec to support their simulator tools is proving to be a successful way to increase the availability and portability of our IP cores between design environments." stated Norman McCall, CEO of Microtronix. "We are extremely pleased with the support we have received from Aldec's engineering team to ensure our IP cores are compatible with the Active-HDL and Riviera mixed language simulators operating on Windows and Linux platforms".
