Synchronous to TCP/IP or UDP/IP Conversion
The Synchronous/HDLC Server converts between serial and TCP or UDP applications by transferring data between the serial interface and the TCP/IP or UDP/IP socket. A configurable encapsulation method preserves HDLC frame boundaries over a TCP/IP interface.
- RAW (when no encapsulation header is required)
- RFC1006 Encapsulation (ISO Transport Service on TCP)
- 2-byte length header
- Other encapsulation methods are available by request
Synchronous over TCP/IP or UDP/IP Bridge
The Synchronous/HDLC Server bridges 2 serial devices over TCP/IP or UDP/IP by transferring data between the serial interfaces over the TCP/IP or UDP/IP socket. A configurable encapsulation method preserves HDLC frame boundaries over a TCP/IP interface.
Asynchronpous/Serial to TCP/IP Conversion
The Terminal Server converts between asynchronous/serial and TCP/IP applications by transferring data between the serial interface and the TCP/IP or UDP/IP socket. Compatibility is achieved using a configurable conversion method.
- RAW (when no conversion is required)
- LINE mode
- IAC-ESC mode for compatibility with Telnet clients
- Other encapsulation methods are available by request
