Microtronix Announces DX-2200 Dual-view 2x1 SDI Video Switcher

LONDON, ON—Monday, March 25, 2013 —Microtronix®, today announced the release of the DX-2200, a Dual-view 2x1 SDI Video Switcher supporting glitch-free switching of non-synchronous video sources. The unit is a multi-function professional grade 2x1 SDI video switcher designed for professional video systems and high-end video surveillance systems requiring glitch-free video switching of non-synchronized sources. The unit provides dual display views of the input video including: picture-in-picture (PIP), picture-and-picture, split-screen and text insertion on screen display.

Designed to operate with non-synchronous video sources, proprietary frame-synchronous video switching IP ensures seamless glitch-free video output whether: switching between inputs, swapping inputs for PIP display, or when switching modes of operation between PIP, PAP (dual display) or Split-Screen display. Switching occurs between frames for progressive video and between fields for interlaced video. The switcher supports most standard interlaced, progressive and progressive segmented frame (PsF) video formats.
