Microtronix Announces Low-latency & Digital Zoom Feature Enhancement for DX-4400 3G-SDI Text & Graphic Inserter product

LONDON, Ontario, Wednesday April 11, 2018 – Microtronix today announced a firmware upgrade adding a low-latency and digital zoom capability to the DX-4400 – Dual-channel 3G-SDI Text & Graphic Inserter product. The low-latency feature decreases input-to-output frame delay to less than one frame on the primary input when operating as a the Dual-channel 2K Text Inserter, a PiP Text inserter or as a 4K Text Inserter. Digital Zoom allows for dynamic scaling of the incoming video streams for PiP and for picture-and-picture applications.

Low latency is critical for use it real-time text and graphics overlay applications in which a perceived delay in the video stream would negatively impact the viewer's experience. Application examples include:

• Medical Robotics in which information is overlaid onto a video stream for display to the medical professional operator the instrument.
• Military displays in which instrumentation data must be displayed in real-time to the operator.
• Religious production and monitor systems requiring real-time overlay of information to live congregations.
